FCHS offers a wide variety of dual credit classes. This means that students earn high school credit and college credit simultaneously. Students must complete an application and register with the offering college to receive Dual Credit.
Dual credit classes are offered through Indiana University, Vincennes University, University of Southern Indiana, or Ivy Tech Community College. Once FCHS students graduate and move on to college, that same 3-hour class would cost approximately $400--$1000, depending on the college/university of choice. Core dual credit courses are listed in the Indiana Core Transfer Library and should transfer to various Indiana colleges and universities, including IUPUI, Ball State, IU, Purdue, etc. The final decision as to whether a college or university will accept dual credits is made by the Admissions Office of each institution.
