Senior Profile/Brag Sheet
A brag sheet helps you think about who you are and what makes you special! It is a tool to help start the writing process for personal statements, college admission and scholarship essays. Share with teachers, counselors, coaches, employers, or college advisers who plan to write your letters of recommendation. Please make a copy of the google document before writing in your information.
One way to have both a fun and productive summer is by participating in a summer program. Many summer programs are academic in nature, allowing you to delve into topics that especially interest you and engage with accomplished faculty in the field. Additionally, you may be able to learn valuable skills through experiences that can only be gained outside of a traditional classroom. Attending such programs will show colleges that you are intellectually curious—so much so that you are willing to spend your summers exploring your academic interests.
Study Abroad Programs give you the opportunity to experience the world as your classroom. Rather than picking things up from books and the Internet, navigating a new landscape may open your eyes to culture, history, a new language or your heritage. Studying Abroad opens the door to personal growth and discovery too. As you learn to say ‘hello’ in a foreign language, make friends, eat exciting new foods, it is bound to boost your confidence, teach you self-reliance and stretch the parameters of your comfort zone.
