04 of October 2023, we will organize a Young Scientists Workshop (about 15 PhD students from Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Egypt, Jordan, Libya Czech Republic etc...) in Mahdia with collaboration with Prof. Hans-Heinrich Limbach from Germany.
After the great success of the RAM conferences, our Association has the pleasure to organize the International Conference in Mahdia, Tunisia. The Humboldt Kolleg will be brought together about 200 scientists from many countries, predominantly from the Maghreb and other states of the Arab world, as well as from Europe and other countries.
The Humboldt Kolleg will be held in Tunisia in October 2023 (5-7 October 2023), which will be supported by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (Germany) and organized by the Maghreb-Alexander von Humboldt Alumni Association. Also, the Kolleg will supporting junior scientists for enhanced skills and competencies in communication and collaborative networking through interactive experience sharing with senior national and international researchers, industrial people and decision makers in contemporary developmental issues. Moreover, the conference will be fostering the aims of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation by making the Foundation's programs more visible to young researchers in Maghreb and empowering the young scientists to be enrolled in the German scientific community. The conference will be an opportunity for young researchers to learn more about” the future needs in Industry” according to the industrial norms. The participants will meet and discuss with the CEO of European and Tunisian start-up. Moreover, new session on “design thinking and innovation” will be organized to allow participants to develop their ability to identify and select opportunities for innovation and to understand the principles of the design thinking approach.
The oral presentations and posters will be focused on three main topics and during the 3 days of the conference:
- Nanoscience's (Physics, chemistry, Geology, Biology etc…).
- Pharmacy, Biochemistry, and Biotechnology.
- Mathematics and computer applications.
- Renewable energies, environment, and climate changes.
The main objectives of the Humboldt Kolleg are:
- To give Ph.D. students and master students the opportunity to listen to a pioneer’s keynote speakers.
- To boost and strength the network between junior Tunisian researchers and the Alexander Von Humboldt programs.
- Developing contacts between the scientists from Maghreb region and the “Humboldt Family” worldwide.
- To encourage junior researchers and young scientist from the Maghreb to apply for post-doc with the Alexander Von Humboldt foundation.
-Initiate a method of reflection and a new working culture based on innovation and a user-centric solutions.
- To form a collaborative network between Germany universities and developing countries universities.
Other goals of the Kolleg are strengthening interdisciplinary networking between the scientists and scholars sponsored by the foundation and reinforcing the awareness of and interest in reciprocal collaborative research between German and Maghreb scientists.
