Northern Illinois University College of Law – Bradley University Scholar Eligibility Requirements
Northern Illinois University College of Law annually awards one exceptional Bradley graduate with the designation of an NIU Law Bradley University Scholar. This scholarship opportunity is open to all Bradley students who meet the selection criteria established by NIU Law, in partnership with BU. NIU Law is committed to facilitating access to the legal profession for members of traditionally underrepresented groups by countering the effects of societal discrimination, increasing the number of lawyers who will serve in communities that are currently underserved, and obtaining for our students the educational benefits that flow from a diverse faculty and student body. The NIU Law Bradley University Scholar program will help to further Northern Illinois University College of Law’s commitment to diversity, by positively impacting diversity in both legal education and the legal field. Scholars are selected from applications submitted to the Pre-Law Advisor or the Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion by the established deadline. Through partnership with the Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, the Legal Studies Committee will develop the most robust and diverse pool of applicants possible and make final selection recommendations to NIU Law. NIU Law will make the final selection from among the candidates submitted for consideration by Bradley University.
