The master's degree program, worth 90 or 120 ECTS credits, lasts three or four semesters (= one and a half or two years of full-time study), with the study content designed to further develop someone's academic expertise.
It can be taken as a consecutive master's program in the same subject as the bachelor's degree or as a specialized master's degree program with the focus on a specific topic. Anyone prepared to achieve additional attainments as part of their bachelor's course may also study a non-consecutive master's program.
A master's degree is a prerequisite for a doctorate.
Studies at the University of Tirana are full-time. We do not offer any part-time studies. Nevertheless, working while you are studying is possible, but should not prolong the study excessively.
This is where you will find the degree programs. Every degree program is described with all the relevant information such as final qualification, special areas, ECTS credits, study program structures, special knowledge, continuing possibilities, teaching language, start of study and individual admission requirements. Additionally, a link is leading to the academic student advice.
All students have to register. You can only take advantage of university services if you are registered; in other words attend lectures and take part in performance checks.
At master's level, the teaching language is Albanian and English. For some degree programs, you require a very good command of the English language. For details of the teaching language as well as all additional language requirements, look at the "Requirements" tab of the individual study programs.
