The “4 th International Conference on Applied Biotechnology” – ICAB-2022 is organized by the Department of Biotechnology of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the University of Tirana, in the framework of the 65 th  anniversary of the University of Tirana, Albania in collaboration with the University of Ioannina, Greece, and will be supported by the Faculty of Natural Sciences of UT, the Academy of Sciences of Albania, the University of Ioannina, Greece (Department of Chemistry, and the Institute of Environment and Sustainable Development, University Research Center of Ioannina - URCI), EBTNA-European Thematic Biotechnology Network Association, and the NGO “Pseda Iliria”. It will take place in Ioannina, Greece on 20-21 st of October 2022 at the premises of the University of Ioannina.

The main aim of the event is the internationalization of the research and education at the University of Tirana, and successful networking. In this context, the 4 th ICAB-2022 brings a new platform for sharing and discussing innovations in biotechnology. The scope of this conference will be to promote share of information, experiences and ideas between scientists, academics, students, representatives of industries and other interested professionals in biotechnology. This will offer an excellent opportunity for all participants to create partnerships within and among universities, scientific institutions, associations, private sector, etc.

The 4 th ICAB-2022 will continue the already established tradition of the Department of Biotechnology on organizing the ICAB Conferences, already proven successful in 2011-2014-2018, and will promote new collaborations in national and international level.
