Prof. Munis Dundar

Graduated from Erciyes University Faculty of Medicine in 1985. He received his PhD in Medical Genetics at the University of Glasgow in 1994. He completed specialty program in Medical Genetics at Osmangazi University in 1996. He became a Professor in 2003 and he is the founder and head of Department of Medical Genetics, Faculty of Medicine at Erciyes University and he is still working.He has been the president of Medical Genetic Association in Turkey between 2009 - 2011. The following four syndromes which are given to literature by Prof. Dundar; “Dundar syndrome, 1997”, “Dundar Acropectoral Syndrome, 2001”, “Blindness, Scoliosis, Arachnodactyly Syndrome, 2008” and “Multiple Congenital Anomaly and Mental Retardation Syndrome, 2012”. He has edited following six books. "Modern Biotechnology and Applications", "Terms and Definitions in Dismorphology", "Current Applications of Biotechnology", "Atlas of Dysmorphology and Diagnosis", "Medical Genetics and Clinical Applications" and "Recent Biotechnology Applications".He has been the president of European Biotechnology Association since 2011. He has been president of 46 congresses and symposiums and attended 88 meetings as an invited speaker. He has 177 publications.There are 168 papers presented at scientific meetings and published in the proceedings. He has 21H-indeks. In addition, he received the largest number of broadcaster and most cited academician award in the institution he worked for.
