About the Teacher

My name is Mrs. Lindberg, and I am the 4th and 5th grade math and science teacher here at the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind. I also teach Florida fourth grade social studies.

I moved here to the St Augustine area 15+ years ago for college. I have been married to my husband Mike for over 15 years and we have two daughters- Savannah, a student here at FSDB, and Zoe, a student in the local school system. We also have a white miniature poodle at home whose name is Beckett.

I graduated from Flagler College with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. After my oldest daughter was diagnosed as visually impaired, I became a certified teacher of the visually impaired in the state of Florida. I recently completed a Masters of Science in Education of the Visually Impaired from FSU.

My Favorites:

Color – Blue. Any shade of Blue makes me happy. I wear blue pretty much every day.

Season – Fall. Back to School, Fall leaves, pumpkins, Thanksgiving…

Food – All American foods like hotdogs, hamburgers, pizza, grilled cheese, etc. I occasionally throw in Mexican tacos and Chinese for variety.

Fruit – Berries. Blueberries, raspberries, strawberries.

Sweets – Chocolate. Nothing fancy just Hershey’s Milk Chocolate.

Holiday – Thanksgiving and Valentine’s Day.

Animal – White poodle puppies

Flower – Anything with big bright petals.

Hobby – Watching squirrels trying to steal birdseed and my white poodle dog chasing ducks… It is quite comical. They make me laugh.
