📢 Call for Papers – Workshop on Sovereign AI and Foundation Models
We invite researchers, engineers, practitioners, and R&D leaders from academia and industry to submit their work to the workshop “Sovereign AI and Foundation Models”, dedicated to advancing the development of AI systems that are locally governed, trustworthy, and aligned with regional values, regulations, and strategic priorities.
This workshop focuses on the technologies, infrastructures, and methodologies required to design, train, evaluate, and deploy foundation models within sovereign ecosystems. It aims to foster discussion and collaboration around AI systems built on national or regional data, operated on controllable and secure infrastructures, and applied to critical and strategic domains such as defense and security, cultural heritage and digital patrimony preservation, agriculture, environment, healthcare, finance, education, and public services.
A particular emphasis will be placed on technological sovereignty, data protection, security, and ethical alignment, highlighting how sovereign foundation models can contribute to safeguarding sensitive information, national assets, and cultural identity while enabling innovation and sustainable digital transformation.
