EASY MODE: EARN A GREEN STAR BY COMPLETING ONLY ONE OPTION
CHALLENGE MODE - EARN A POWER STAR BY COMPLETING BOTH OPTIONS
Option One: Explore The Planet
Complete all the steps below to earn the STAR.
✅ Use any version of Google Earth (Earth, Earth Pro, Web)
✅ Explore the mouse controls, including pressing the scroll wheel in to tilt perspective, and entering/exiting Street Mode view
✅ Optional: Visit your house!
👍 Screenshot and label three interesting places other than Flemington, and include them in your portfolio page! There's a whole planet to explore... what do you want to see?
Option Two: Take A Flight
Complete all the steps below to earn the STAR.
✅ If you want to use a controller, install it first
✅ Launch the Google Earth Pro app - installed on your desktop already: it looks like a gray globe.
✅Search a location that you'd like to fly over. Some areas (mostly cities) have 3D buildings while others do not.
✅Enter Flight Simulator (Tools dropdown menu) and figure out the controls. Tap 'Y' to increase speed for takeoff.
👍 Use SPACEBAR to pause so that you can screenshot and label at least one of the places you explored from the plane
