Grading Policies
EXTRA HELP is available before or after school. All you need to do is ask, I am here to help.
Grading:
Throughout the year, there will be a variety of assignments including:
tests
quizzes
written assignments
projects/presentations
classwork/participation
homework
Grades are based on a points system.
Each assignment will be worth a set amount of points.
To figure out your grade, divide the points earned (top number) by the total possible points (bottom number). For example, a 17/20 would be an 85%.
Late Work:
Late work should still be completed as assignments are designed to help students practice necessary skills/strategies and to reinforce concepts learned.
homework assignments; Students may turn in late homework assignments for half credit, the following class period.
long-term assignments (as per student handbook), the reduction will be:
One letter grade for up to two (2) school days late
Two letter grades for up to five (5) school days late
Failing grade for more than five (5) school days late
