Meet the Teacher:
Ruby and Ollie
My family: Andrew, John, Abby, Matthew, and me!
Class Procedures & General Information:
Agenda Book & Homework: Second graders will receive an agenda book from the PTO. Each day students will record their homework in their agenda book. Students will typically have homework Monday through Thursday. I encourage students to work on homework independently. However, if your child is struggling with an assignment, please let me know and I will help them in school.
Birthdays: I welcome the celebration of students’ birthdays. Birthday treats in the form of food are not permitted in school. If you choose, you may send in a small “goody bag” or stickers, pencils, or erasers to share with your child’s classmates. You may also send in a special book that we can share with the class, or we can arrange for a time for a family member to come in to read to the class in honor of your child’s birthday. All of these suggestions are optional.
Snack and Water: We will have “Snack” every morning. Please remember to send a snack in for your child EVERY DAY. Please send in safe snacks for school, such as fruits and vegetables. Please do not send in any items containing nuts. Additionally, students may bring a water bottle into school each day.
