Tutorial is a silent study hall for the first 30 minutes of Block B1. It is designed to offer students an opportunity to work on assignments, talk with teachers, make up assessments, and collect missed work. Below is our list of expectations for Tutorial this year. These rules have been derived over a number of school years. By following these guidelines, all students and teachers will benefit from the tutorial time.
Be on time for school.
Come prepared to tutorial with all the work you’ll need; there will be no further locker visits unless a teacher requests you to get your materials.
Silence is required during Tutorial.
Everyone, students and teachers, will be working.
Everyone is to stay in the room and work silently for the first ten minutes of Tutorial; after that, students may sign out to visit other teachers.
Four students per teacher can be signed out at one time to see that teacher;
Exceptions to the above rules require a pass written by a teacher requesting to see a student during Tutorial.
Three students can visit the library when it is open (the library pass needs to be completed and signed by both student and teacher before leaving);
Chromebooks should only be used to complete assignments or to read using SORA. Unless assigned by a teacher, games are not permitted during this time.
