About our Founder
Justin Kessler is the founder of Find A Way Mental Performance. He's currently an assistant college baseball coach at Rutgers University-Newark, a scout for USA Baseball's NTIS Northeast events, as well as a sixth grade special education teacher. He has been a teacher and coach for the past eleven years.
Justin attended Northeastern University in Boston, MA, where he played Division 1 baseball and received his Bachelor's degree in Psychology with Minors in Elementary Education and History. He then went on to attend Wheelock College in Boston, MA where he received his Masters in Integrated Elementary and Special Education. Following a couple years in the teaching and coaching field, Justin went back to school to receive a Graduate Certificate in Experiential Teaching and Learning from Northeastern University.
Justin's lifelong learner mentality led him to complete Brian Cain's Mental Performance Coaching Certification. He has since brought what he has learned from that certification and his own experiences to his classroom. He was a fifth grade classroom teacher for seven years, a fifth grade special education teacher for two years and now is a sixth grade special education teacher. On the coaching side, Justin coached a year of junior varsity baseball before becoming a varsity baseball head coach for six years. He then transitioned to the college ranks where he was a recruiting coordinator and assistant baseball coach at Raritan Valley Community College for two years. Then he moved on to his current position as an assistant baseball coach at Division 3 Rutgers University-Newark. Throughout all of his coaching stops, integrating mental performance into his teams has been a staple of Justin's involvement.
He has created Find A Way Mental Performance in the hopes of helping parents, coaches and athletes around the world implement mental performance strategies into their daily lives and into their sport/s.
