Brandi Robertson-Elementary School Counselor/ Redbirds-6th grade
Hello! My name is Brandi Robertson and I am the elementary school counselor at Forbes Road. I live in Everett, PA with my husband, Andy, and our daughter, Alexa. I am a graduate of Everett Area High School and received my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Juniata College in Huntingdon, PA in 1999. I worked in the mental health field for a wraparound agency in the Bedford County School Districts as a TSS (Therapeutic Staff Support) for the next 6 years, which allowed me to work with students one on one in the school setting as well as in the home and community. While working in the school setting, I realized how much I enjoyed working with children and their families, and after discussions with some other school counselors, I decided to pursue a degree in School Counseling myself. I completing my Masters of Education degree (specializing in School Counseling) at Frostburg State University in Frostburg, MD in 2006 and was certified to be a K-12 guidance counselor. I was then hired at Forbes Road Elementary for the 2006-07 school year and have been here ever since!
I have really enjoyed my time at Forbes and look forward to many more years here! The students and families are great and I really enjoy the small school atmosphere. Its great to know all our students by name-not something all school counselors get the opportunity to do!
