These workshop envision to create spaces of reflection and conversation about what frontline communities in Washington State envision for their future and what types of technology could support community-based strategies.
Together, Front and Centered and a group of researchers in the Information School at University of Washington, will facilitate different workshops to explore ideas, challenges, and potential shared solutions.
In addition, these workshops will help inform a participatory research project intended to better understand the use of technologies to enhance environmental and climate justice, to better design more inclusive and meaningful capacity building strategies. As part of the research, participants will be asked to complete different forms in a way to promote full transparency, but also help the organizers better understand who is interested in participating in these spaces.
This is a team composed of UW researchers and Front and Centered staff.
