Whole Child Development is the process through which children and adults acquire and effectively apply the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions (CASEL, 2018).
In Frisco ISD all stakeholders will work to support the development of social skills in our students by implementing Whole Child Development strategies as a part of the whole child model, during classroom instruction, and in partnership with home in an effort to empower students to become responsible, productive and contributing members of the global community.
