Hello 5th Grade Parents!
My name is Hannah Kaschmitter and I cannot wait to spend this year growing and learning with your students. This will be my first year in Frisco ISD, though I am returning home as I grew up in Plano attending K-12 in PISD. I earned my bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education from Tarleton State University (go Texans!) and did my student teaching in 4th and 5th grade. This age holds a special place in my heart and I consider myself very lucky that I was able to join the 5th grade team here at Vaughn! Family and friends brought me back to the area, my parents and sister are local and I enjoy soaking up time with them. I also enjoy trying out new restaurants and visiting museums (most recently the Disney costumes exhibit at the Arlington Museum of Art- incredible!), as well as staying in to watch the Stars and work on my latest puzzle. This season of my life is full of celebrations, and I am someone who loves to celebrate! I am excited for all of the occasions and successes I will get to celebrate with you this year!
As a teacher, it is my firm belief that every student deserves access to the best education possible. This looks different for every learner, and I understand how important it is to take those differences into consideration. My goal is simple, it is to see your child grow while they are in my class, and to support them in whatever ways I can to reach their goals. This is a year where your student will be taking more control over their learning, gaining independence and learning new things about themselves.Â
This is going to be a great year, and building relationships with you and your child will allow me to provide the best support and consideration for your learner as they grow. Please feel free to reach out to me about any questions or concerns you may have. You have insight into your child that is valuable and appreciated, and I am always hoping to collaborate for the best interest of your child. I am reachable by email at kaschmitteh@friscoisd.org. I want to thank you for trusting me to care for and teach your child, I understand what an honor that is. I am beyond excited to spend your child's last year in elementary learning and creating memories!
Best Wishes,
Hannah Kaschmitter
