The Centennial High School cheer program consists of freshman, junior varsity, and varsity teams. Cheer is a place where athletes are encouraged to take risks, reach for excellence, and embody what it means to be spirited. Cheerleaders are taught to not only strive for success in skills, but to also encourage one another to succeed in all aspects of life. Cheerleaders understand the importance of a grit mindset and perseverance. Cheer is a team sport that values friendship, loyalty, and hard work. Cheer is a sport that is reliant on athletes working together to make routines and sideline appearances successful.
Cheerleaders are at many sporting events, always cheering on our Titans, win or lose. Cheerleaders understand the impact that enthusiasm and team pride can have on a team. Cheer also represents the Titans at the UIL State Spirit competition every year. At UIL, the team is able to show off its ability to lead a crowd, using skills and props to encourage all to cheer for the Titans. Cheerleaders are taught to always be leaders, whether that be leading a crowd, or leading outside of the uniform.
CHS cheer is constantly finding ways to give back to our community, whether that be greeting elementary school students to school in the morning, being apart of community events, or supporting local businesses. Cheer hosts a mini clinic and different support nights to not only raise money for the program, but to also be a face in the community. Cheer sees the importance of supporting those around us in order to bring spirit to all aspects of our community. Cheerleaders understand the importance of outreach and showing Titan pride anywhere they go.
The 2024-2025 team consists of 33 team members.
