Rochelle Hayes - HayesK@friscoisd.org
I am blessed to be a part of the exceptional staff at Scott Elementary! Teaching and working with struggling readers, writers and spellers is truly my passion. I love to watch students' confidence grow as their skills and strategies develop through the FISD Dyslexia program.
My Bachelor's Degree is from the University of Kansas (Rock Chalk Jayhawk!) where I studied Music Therapy and my Master's Degree in Teaching is from Dallas Baptist University. Mr. Hayes and I have been married for 36 years and have two children, Jennifer and Drew, a son in law, Drew, and a sweet granddaughter Ellie and grandson Cole on the way! I also have two fur babies, Bo, a Labradane and Gracie, a Choclolate Lab. I love to travel, take walks with my dogs, read (preferably by the pool or a beach), paper craft, bake, watch Jayhawk Basketball, play piano and do bible studies.
I look forward to working with your child this year!
I have been so lucky to be here at Scott since its opening! Reading is my passion, and I love helping students nurture and grow their love for reading.
My husband and I have 2 daughters, Avery and Adalyn, that attend Scott. We are busy going to gymnastics, cheer, and whatever activities they get into during the week! We also love to head out to the lake for camping, boating, and relaxation in the great outdoors. You will always catch me with my Kindle sneaking a read whenever I can!
