Arrival

We will have two staff members supervising the café. If your child arrives between 7:15 am—7:30 am, they will enter through the café doors and will remain in the café until 7:30 am at which time they will be dismissed their pod areas. FISD school buses and daycare buses have priority of using the front drive, so we ask that you use caution and yield to them.

Staff members will open and greet students at the main door at 7:30 am before heading off to their locations. There will also be a staff member stationed at the north side door (near the gym) welcoming students into the building. If you choose this location, please note that children will have to let themselves out of the car as staff members and safety patrol assist in opening car doors in the front drop off only.

When using either drop off location, please adhere to the flow of traffic and wait patiently for students to exit their vehicles. We ask for the safety of our students you do not exit your car to assist your child in getting out of the vehicle. If they are not ready and/or need your assistance, please pull up past the mailbox area and/or park in a parking space to assist your child. If your child needs to eat breakfast and arrives during this time, they will walk to the cafe rather than reporting to their classroom.

Students who arrive after 7:45 am are tardy and will need to report to the office to sign in. Please understand the Texas attendance law considers tardies as missing parts of the school day and counts towards truancy.
