Hi y'all! I am eager to start my 13th year of teaching here at Smith.  I am excited to teach your third graders this year!  I have taught 1st, 2nd, and 4th grade, and 3rd grade for 2 years here at Smith.  I received my bachelors from the best university, Texas Tech! Go Red Raiders!!!  I enjoy spending time with my family, working out, reading, shopping, and watching TV.  I can't wait to meet you all and watch you grow.  

Hello! My name is Bayan Alrefai (pronounced bay-yanne el-ruh-fay) and this will be my third year teaching English Language Arts! I taught for two years at Taylor Elementary in Frisco ISD, but this will be my first year teaching at Smith. I graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Child Learning & Development as well as my ESL & EC-6 Teaching Certification. 

Aside from teaching, I love spending time with my family, friends, and my cat Mochi. I enjoy reading, watching movies, making coffee, and traveling whenever I can. I am SO excited to meet you all and hopefully have a great school year together! 

Hello! My name is Victoria Aranda. I am so happy you are here! This will be my fourth year at Smith, but my first year in third grade, fifth year teaching in total. I will be teaching math and science. I am so excited to be on this adventure with you! I graduated from Texas Tech University, Go Red Raiders!! I live here in Frisco with my husband and daughter Liliana. We also have two dogs named Dallas and Ava. I know this will be such a great year. I can’t wait!

Hi, I’m Ms. Gispanski! This Is my 8th year In FISD. My #1 mission is to spark curiosity, foster a love for learning, and build a community where every student feels valued and inspired. I hold a Bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor In Education from Texas Woman’s University. When I’m not in the classroom, you can find me hanging with friends or family, playing games, going to the theatre, or traveling the world!

Hi! I’m Ms. VanDemark, and I’m beyond thrilled to be back in Texas and at my favorite place, SMITH! This is my 6th year teaching and I am so excited for my first year teaching 3rd grade. I aim to make the classroom a place that is fun and somewhere students are eager to learn. A welcoming space where they are encouraged to be curious, daring, and explore their passions! Outside of the classroom, I love coaching cheerleading, traveling, and spending time with my family in Florida!
