Meet the Librarian

Welcome to your RBE library!!

My name is Miss Lewis and I am the new librarian at Borchardt this year. I recently moved to the area and could not be more excited to join this amazing community!

I was born and raised in the San Antonio area, where I received my Bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio. I taught 2nd and 5th grades before receiving my Master's degree in Library Science from Texas Woman's University in 2013.

I began my library career as a children's librarian at the San Antonio Public Library. Then I had the wonderful opportunity to open the library at a new elementary school in my hometown, where I stayed for another three years.

I love ALL things library/tech/aerospace-related, from obsessively re-reading the Harry Potter and Anne of Green Gables series, to improving my 3-D printing skills and sending my name to Mars on every mission that goes up!!

I am looking forward to sharing my love of continuous learning with the students at Borchardt!!
