I was born and raised in the DFW area and discovered my love for theatre in middle school. Throughout my childhood I participated in theatre summer camps, school productions and speech and debate. I graduated from Texas State University in December 2024 with my Bachelors of Fine Arts in Theatre. My goal is to grow this program and prepare students for high school theatre and real world!
I believe the classroom should be a safe environment that fosters students growth and learning. My teaching philosophy includes making my classroom a safe and inclusive space by having a zero tolerance bullying policy and and an open door policy where student know they can talk to me if they are having any issues. I want to use theater as a tool to teach my students leadership, responsibility, team work and problem solving. Theater is a collaborative art form so I will encourage the support of parents and other school staff to assure my students are successful.
