Hello! I’m Ms. Lutz, the Theatre teacher at Nelson Middle School!
I am so glad that all of you are joining Theatre this school year. I believe educational theatre is an incredibly powerful thing - but I’ll save that tangent for later!
About Me
I was born and raised in the Dallas area.
This is my second year teaching Theatre at Nelson.
I formerly taught 9th Grade English and Fashion Design for a short stint.
I direct all of the plays and musicals that take place at Nelson.
I have two dogs.
I love to travel! This past summer, I visited Italy, France, Spain, Belgium, Portugal, and the UK!
I like to sew, do ceramics, go for walks, read, and listen to music and podcasts.
After graduating from Hebron High School in Carrollton, TX, I attended the University of Oklahoma’s School of Drama. While there, I studied Theatre History, Shakespeare, Technical Theatre of all kinds, Playwriting, Directing, and, of course, Acting in a variety of contexts and materials.
I graduated in May of 2020 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Drama with an Acting emphasis.
