International Junior Thespian Society- Troupe 11819
The International Junior Thespian Society (IJTS) is an honor society for theatre students. Membership is granted for the performance of meritorious work in theatre arts. Students in grades 6-8 who have earned a minimum of 10 points over the course of at least two productions are eligible for induction in the Spring semester. Points are given based on the official IJTS point system which awards points for the amount of work and level of dedication the student has shown during participation in productions, theatre classes, and other theatre activities. Students who are inducted into IJTS in middle school will be able to carry forward 5 points to high school towards becoming a member of the International Thespian Society. See the International Thespian Society website for more information: https://schooltheatre.org/thespian-troupe-membership/
Convention
IJTS Troupes have the opportunity to participate in the Junior Thespian Convention We plan to bring our Troupe 11819 Thespians to convention this year (24/25 School Year)! Convention is on Saturday October 19th, at the Forney ISD Opportunity Center from 7:30am-6pm. The cost to attend is $85. More information coming soon!
This is the log that tells you how many points each activity/role is worth. Once you have received 10 thespian points you will be inducted into our troupe. It is your job to keep up with your thespian point tracker. We will fill these out together at the beginning of the year in Theatre Pro, Tech Theatre, and Theatre 2/3 but after that you will need to ask Ms. Ellis for your sheet to add updates.
