Hi! I am Dawn Dempsey, a seasoned art educator with ten years of experience in the field. My journey began in 2012, where I had the privilege of teaching Art to 4th and 5th graders at Fulton Learning Center in Rockport, Texas, a tenure that lasted until 2018. Subsequently, I expanded my teaching repertoire to include Ceramics and Photography, instructing 7th and 8th graders at Liberty Junior High in Richardson, Texas from 2021 to 2022.
I am thrilled to be teaching art in Frisco ISD for my 4th year as a K-5 Art teacher at Minett Elementary School! While I do not have children of my own, I am a proud pet parent to a delightful corgi named Lucy. :)
Outside the classroom, I am an avid traveler, landscape painter, yoga enthusiast, and science fiction reader. I also find immense joy in watching the sunset and getting lost in the night sky. I am eagerly looking forward to the opportunity to contribute to your child's artistic growth and development in the forthcoming academic year. <3
