How can we use leaves to create something new that shows what we know about fall?

After your child finishing reading the book, discuss the following questions:
How are the leaves in the book similar or different from the leaves we have in our neighborhood?
What did you learn about how leaves change in the fall?
Why do you tink leaves. come in so many shapes, sizes, and colors?
Use leaves (real, paper, or both) as the main material.
Show creativity (color, design, or fun idea).
An explanation on what you learned about leaves.
Remember, these are just ideas. We want to encourage students to come up with their own ideas for the challenge as much as possible!
Create an art piece using leaves (real or paper) for the majority of the picture (collage, leaf rubbing, pattern design).
Collect and sort leaves by color, size, or shape and create a graph.
Turn leaves into something fun to use (jewelry, character, a building structure).

Your child will need a pumpkin to complete this challenge.

Estimate the number of seeds you might have in your pumpkin.
How many seeds do you actually have in your pumpkin?
Use pumpkin seeds as the main material.
Show creativity (color, design, originality).
Show thinking (math, science, or problem-solving connection).
