What to expect during Tryouts:

Each level will be evaluated a different way. It will be up to the coach to evaluate each player not only on their athletic ability but their overall attitude towards the sport, themselves, their coaches and their teammates.
Academics will always be a priority over athletics. Academics can be a deciding factor for the coach to keep an athlete on their team.
Here are some skills we look for during the tryout process:
- Serving Technique
- Passing Form
- Setting Form
Here are some other items we take into consideration when picking our teams:
- Grades/Teacher Feedback
- Attitude
- Hustle
- Competitiveness
- Coachablity
- Aggressiveness

Tryouts will usually start the first or second day of school.
Tryouts are usually 3 days long. We have an A, B and C team.
Teams are announced through an envelope system personally handed out to the athletes as they exit the building. We know this is a sensitive manner. We try to respect the privacy of each athlete who is trying out.
There are typically 2 weekend tournaments. The Invitational tournament is September 16. The district tournament will be October 21st.
Games are typically on Wednesday night for 8th Grade and Thursday night for 7th Grade!
Game Times for 7th Grade:
- C Team- 5:30
- B Team- 6:30
- A Team- 7:30
Game Times for 8th Grade:
- C Team- 5:30
- B Team- 6:30
- A Team- 7:30
