Snap Words/Sight Words

While some sounds are meant to be known "by heart" (like "ai" in "said"), most words follow typical sound spelling patterns.

1st nine weeks: I, a, am, see, like, the, it, can, look, at, and, go, to, my, you, here, is

2nd nine weeks: this, me, got, was, love, in, on, play, up, will, do, fun, we

3rd nine weeks: come, went, said, she, you, did, get, for, are, make, they, bad, no, now, has, her, ball, him, out 

4th nine weeks: stop, us, with, quack, jump, zoo, have, of, rain, eat, kite, vest

*Extra words if your child knows all the above words:

some, because, could, friend, family, music, art, what, all, our, house, park, there, your, saw, Fisher, Kindergarten, Valentine, gift, pumpkin, bird, barn, color words, number words (one, two, three, etc.)

Supplies

Please unwrap all supplies and organize items in the following manner: 

• In their labeled Pencil Box - 3 sharpened pencils, 1 pink eraser, 1 box of crayons, 1 glue stick, and 1 fine-tipped dry erase marker

• In a Labeled GALLON Ziploc Bag - remaining 9 sharpened pencils, extra pink eraser, scissors (please label with their name), 5 remaining glue sticks, 2 remaining boxes of crayons, and remaining fine tip dry erase markers

• In a Separate Bag - blue, green, & yellow labeled folders, red labeled spiral notebook, primary ruled composition book, markers, tissue box, and labeled headphones (we will not use these until later, so it is alright if they are not here on the first day of school!)
  
  

The only items that have to be labeled are their pencil box, scissors, headphones, and gallon ziploc bag.
