Meet Ms. Barnes

HOWDY!!

My name is Emily Barnes and I have been teaching since 2013. I am beyond excited to be back at this wonderful school in Frisco ISD!

My love for teaching actually started when I was a student at Rogers Elementary here in Frisco. Watching my third grade teacher love and care for everyone in the classroom made me decide then and there that I wanted to be just like her. I was a student in FISD from 1st-12th grade and loved every second of my time here. After high school, I went on to spend the best four years of my life at Texas A&M University pursing a degree in interdisciplinary studies. At Texas A&M, I made the best friends of my life and learned what it takes to be an effective and efficient educator.

I have a fantastic brother Travis, who graduated from Texas A&M with an engineering degree, a beautiful niece named Cooper, a wonderful sister-in-law Chelsea (who is also an Aggie), a wild puppy named River, and two wonderful parents who support all of us in everything they do.

I am  looking forward to helping our students grow this year and can't wait to see what our future holds!
