2026-27 FAFSA Form is Now Open!

Calling all seniors! It is time for your and your parents to complete your FAFSA so that you can receive the best offer of financial aid from your potential colleges! Don't wait as some state aid is limited and can run out! Make sure to complete the 2026-2027 form!

In Texas, the priority deadline is Jan. 15, 2026.

For priority consideration, submit your application by Jan. 15, 2026. Additional forms may be required. Private and two-year institutions may have different deadlines. Check with the financial aid office at the college or career school you plan to attend.

FSA ID - Create Your Account Today!

Senior students and parents- The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is scheduled to open October 1st. In order to submit the FAFSA form, students and parents must each create an FSA ID. Do that NOW so you can submit your FAFSA early to make sure to receive the most financial aid offers available to you.

Remember, some scholarships require that you complete FAFSA. Be sure to research whether the scholarship applications that you’re completing do not require FAFSA results.

If you do not plan to complete the FAFSA, please complete the opt-out form using the tile found in the Guardian Gateway (for Parents), or the Student Portal (for Seniors who are already 18)
