Hi! My name is Kim Bailey, and I am thrilled to be your child’s 4th grade math teacher this year at Christie Elementary! This is my 11th year in education and my fourth year teaching 4th grade here at Christie. I feel so lucky to be part of such a supportive school community and to spend my days doing what I love most — helping students grow in confidence and discover they can do hard things, especially in math!
I graduated from Louisiana Tech University (Go Bulldogs!) with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, and later earned my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Educational Technology. I believe that the three things we can always control are our attitude, energy, and effort — and I try to model that for my students every day. My goal is to create a classroom where kids feel safe to make mistakes, excited to learn, and proud of themselves for their progress.
Outside of school, I’m a mom of three busy, wonderful kids who keep me on my toes! Boston is 14 and plays soccer, Adelaide is 8 and loves cheering and softball, and Quest is 7 and plays just about every sport he can — football, baseball, and soccer. My husband David and I are both originally from North Louisiana, and our family has called Frisco home since 2018.
When I’m not in the classroom or on the sidelines cheering for one of my kids, you might find me learning Spanish on Duolingo (currently on a pretty solid streak!), enjoying a good iced coffee, or spending time with my incredible team of teacher besties.
This school year, I’m looking forward to partnering with you to help your child grow not only in math skills, but in perseverance, independence, and confidence. We’re going to have a fantastic year full of learning, laughter, and success!
