Absences
School starts at 7:45. Students who arrive after 7:45 will be counted tardy. If your child has to miss school for an appointment, we ask that you make every effort not to pull them out during instruction time. Please see class schedules.
If your child has to miss school for any reason, please use the "Report an Absence" button on the top corner of the Ashley Elementary Website and send email notification to our Data Clerk, Mrs. Kayfan. We have to have written notification of all absences for state record keeping purposes. Those can be submitted to AshleyAttendance@friscoisd.org
Snacks
First graders will have the opportunity to participate in a daily afternoon snack. We encourage parents to send healthy, nurtitious snacks to help give their children the energy they need for successful learning. Please send one snack each day and label it with your child's name. Please refrain from sending snacks that require refrigeration or heating.
Suggested healthy snacks:
Fresh fruit such as bananas, grapes, apples, peeled oranges
Granola Bars/Nutri-Grain Bars
Goldfish
CheezIts
Pretzels

Nuts (unless there is a nut allergy in your child's classroom)
