7th Grade Math

Expectations, Policies, and Procedures

Classroom Expectations

To help our students be successful both in the classroom and outside of the classroom, our expectations for their academic and social skills are very high.

    • They need to be on time, on task, and prepared to work and learn.
    • They should be shown respect and show respect for other people and their belongings.
    • All work should be completed on time.

Policies and Procedures

These are covered in the student handbook. We will be following all policies and procedures set forth by Fowler Middle School and Frisco Independent School District.

Late Work: For regular daily and weekly assignments, students may receive a grade no higher than a 70 for work turned in one day late. If work is turned in two days late, the highest grade a student should receive is a 50. A student will receive no credit (zero in the grade book) for work completed after the second day it is due. Students are required to turn in all assigned work regardless of how late the work may be.

Retests: In accordance with grading guidelines, a student shall be permitted to retest grades 84 and below on MAJOR exams for a maximum score of 85. Students scoring 85 or above on the original exam will not have an opportunity to retest. Requirements to retest include attending a mandatory tutoring session. Teachers will provide students in class with specific dates.

Make up Work: It is the student’s responsibility to pick up all of their make-up work if they have been absent. Questions about absent work should occur during tutorial hours not during class time.
