Hello! My name is Arissa and I was in charge of creating the characters, animation, and interface assets of Hexbreaker. My skills are with 3D animation, modeling, and I am able to create 2D artworks and texture the models I've made. My style leans more towards stylized and painted.

I wanted to use this project as a chance to test what I could do and under a small time constraint and be able to learn more efficient methods and better communication from the practical experience. There are a lot of things I enjoyed making, but the one I enjoyed the most was creating the opening cinematic on a new game. It was fun planning it out and because it presented me with a unique challenge. I'm not very proficient at 2D animation, so I created illustrated assets and broke them into parts that I could move separately.
One of my main tasks early in development was to create the character the player controls and most of the enemies. This ranged from concept art all the way to modeling and texturing them.
Rosalin
Sorrowful Soul
Horrid Haunter / Derelict Deceiver
Phantasmal Despair
The characters were sculpted in Zbrush first then retopologized in Maya, and finally textured in Adobe Substance 3D Painter.
Animations for all the characters was also one of my tasks. For each character I made unique idle, attack, death, impact, and charged attack animations. These were hooked up in the Unity animator window to flow from the idle into the various different states depending on what is happening in combat.
Lastly, I made the various illustrations and interface assets needed for the game, such as buttons, background art, and decorative borders. Each one has a unique indicators of their function while still keeping with the overall visual identity of the game.
