Loren grew up in Michigan and found their love for the outdoors in the Great Lakes and under deciduous trees, and got involved with plants and the conservation/restoration world through my time at the University of Michigan and working with native plants at Matthaei Botanical Gardens. Through their experiences since then, they have found that their passion in this work lies in connecting people of all backgrounds and abilities to the outdoors, particularly through caring for the land that sustains us.

Originally from Virginia, Maeve got her undergraduate degree in Biochemsitry from the University of Virginia. After spending far too many hours under fluorescent lighting, she moved across the country to get an M.Sc. in Forest Management from Oregon State University. In her spare time she enjoys live music, dancing, hiking, swimming in ice cold water, and the occasional motorcycle ride. More than anything she has a passion for forest health and native plants. She is very excited to plant with you all this season!
