Friends Statewide Trail Mapping Initiative

Mapping and verifying the Georgia State Parks & Historic Sites trail system

Mission of the project

The primary mission of this project is to re-map the system of trails throughout the Georgia State Parks & Historic Sites system. We will provide mapping data, length verification and other details about every trail. A secondary goal is to identify and assess trail needs where Friends volunteers may be able to make repairs or improvements to existing trails.

Get ready to map

You'll need some special tools to map your trail. Make sure you have what you need before you get started.

Trail Survey

In addition to the maps, we need to collect data ABOUT each trail. This data only needs to be submitted once per trail.

Submit your map

After heading out on the trail, you'll need to submit your EasyTrails File. We need three submissions per trail. You must be logged in to your Google account to submit a map.
