Many thanks to all who support both organizations: The Friends of Wisconsin State Parks as well as the Friends of Copper Falls State Park! Friends of Wisconsin State Parks awards HERO award to Ruth Brennan.

Ruth Brennan was honored Tuesday Nov. 1, 2022, as a “Hero”, by the Friends of Wisconsin State Parks.  Friends of Copper Falls State Park president Bob Aldrich presented the award to Ruth for her tireless effort the last two years managing the concession at Copper Falls State Park. Taking no compensation, she has donated all proceeds from the concession to the new pavilion project in the park.

She did not know of the nomination by the board of directors, and supportive comments from park staff.  It was a fitting surprise for someone who has given

so much to our park.

We defined “HERO” as :

How Extraordinarily Ruth Operates”
