Actions taken in response to my tutor's feedback of 1st draft

After I revised the feedback from my tutor, I paid attention to the APA style in-text citation, grammar errors, structure, and the of the draft. 

APA style was a new citation style to me; therefore, I made mistakes for the citing format in my first draft. As dyslexia was a topic that I was not familiar with, I checked for many sources to support my points in my final draft carefully. More importantly, I should aware of the citation from for the website and online books. Compared to the citation format of the books, online resources are written in the different orders. 

On the other hand, it was important to check the definition of the synonyms before I used the words as it would distort my meaning in the analytical report. Therefore, I checked for the words that I misunderstood and noted them down on my own word lists. 

Finally, the structure of the report was the main focus after I revised the feedback from my tutor. The ideas were not well-structed and lead to misunderstanding, so the orders of sentences were changed afterwards.

Actions taken in response to my tutor's feedback of 2nd draft

After I revised the feedback from my tutor, I should aware of the citation format, clear organization, and main purpose of the exposition towards the topic. 

First, the page number of the book which I used as a reference was missing in the in-text citation. As I was using only one section of the book, I should note down and specify the page number I had used. 

Second, I had to be considerate about the purpose of the exposition. After I re-read the assignment, I found the thesis was missing from the induction. The loss of a thesis made readers consider the purpose and the whole idea of the exposition. Therefore, the exposition was difficult to understand and there were many question marks received from the tutor. Therefore, I added the purpose of writing to the exposition and stated out the unclearness after revising the comments. 

Reflection on Learning

From the course, I have learnt to write in a general perspective in both exposition and analytical report. This course provides the techinques in writing in academic language, which is very important to construct my writing more professionally. Moreover, it practiced my skills in researching sources that I acquire in the assignments and developing a well-structured organization as well. Also, I understand the importance of APA citation as well in my oral presentation. After the research, I could understand the idea of plagiarism and the importance of authorship and copyright.  According to the feedback that I received from the tutor, I found difficulties in working on exposition. Therefore, it is important for me to work on the revise the structure on exposition and practise on writing an exposition in the future.
