Course scheduling  for the 2022-23 school year begins January, 2022. 

Beginning in January:

• Teachers make recommendations for students based on current academic standing and previous years grades.

• E-mail is sent to students and parents informing the beginning of course scheduling process.

• Counselors speak to English classes to discuss course selection for the following school year.

In January/February:

• Counselors meet with all students individually to discuss and review course selections and elective choices.

Course schedules will be reviewed and finalized in early June.

In mid-August:

• Next year's student class schedules are released in mid-August

Students have from the time they receive schedules in August until the second week in September to add/drop classes in accordance with the rules set forth in the student handbook

Academic Course Recommendations for incoming 9th graders/current 8th graders are based on 7th grade final grades and 8th grade marking period 1 grades. Honors placement is based on grade criteria observed in historical performance data indicative of success in FRHSD honors courses. FRHSD is an open access district; a student can self-select into the honors level of a course.
