Food Drive 

We are excited to announce the launch of our annual community service project! Every year, the 5 Star Cafe partners with our local community to make a difference, and this year we are once again holding our canned food drive for Fulfill of Neptune, NJ (formerly The FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties).

This effort is part of Fulfill’s vital “Students Fight Hunger” program, which helps ensure that our neighbors facing food insecurity have access to nutritious meals. Fighting hunger is a team effort, and we invite your family to join ours in supporting this important cause.

How You Can Help

We are asking all students to bring in canned or shelf-stable food items over the next few weeks. Even one item can make a significant impact!

Your generous donations help Fulfill stock their pantries and provide meals to thousands of individuals and families right here in Monmouth and Ocean counties.

Most Needed Items

To help us collect the most impactful items, please refer to the current list of Fulfill’s highest needs.

A crucial reminder: Please send in non-glass containers only.

• Canned tuna, chicken, and salmon

• Canned vegetables (low-sodium preferred)

• Cooking oils

• Shelf-stable milk

• Pancake mix and syrup

• Peanut butter & jelly

• Canned fruits (in light syrup or juice)

• Fruit juice

Ready-to-Eat Items & Cereals:

• Soups: Chicken noodle, chicken & rice, beef vegetable

• Ready-to-eat canned meals: Chili (bean, chicken, beef), stew (vegetable, chicken, beef), ravioli (cheese, beef), chicken w/rice & vegetables, spaghetti & meatballs

• Hot cereals: Oatmeal, steel-cut oats, farina, muesli

• Cold cereals: Toasted O’s (original or honey nut), bran flakes, corn flakes, shredded wheat, brown rice, Grape-Nuts, Special K, Fiber One cereals, Cascadian Farms cereals, Kashi cereals
