F2CS Blue and Gold Vanguard

Our 2023 NYSFBC Show, with the working title "Dreams", will take the audience on a journey into the landscape of a child's dreams. Beginning with the hopeful wonder of "A Million Dreams", the child drifts off to sleep imagining limitless potential and promise. 

Soon, though, a darker thread is woven into the dream as threats and uncertainty invade the scene, set to Metallica's "Enter Sandman".

The child overcomes this darkness, however, and prevails over it as the dream reaches its triumphant conclusion with Jason Nistch's "Beyond the Sidewalk (Mvt 2)". As the last notes sound, peace is restored and a restful slumber can commence.

The F2CS Blue and Gold Vanguard is a marching band consisting of students in grades 7-12 from Falconer and Frewsburg Central Schools. We compete in several New York State Field Band Conference shows throughout the fall, ending with a performance at the State Championship Show in the Dome at Syracuse University.

We are proud to have built a successful program bridging two school districts, and as one of only two competitive field bands in Chautauqua County and one of only a handful in Western New York. Having the student population and resources from both school districts has helped make this a reality.
