Classroom Music & Chorus

Welcome to Frehswater Music for Classroom and Chorus. General Music in the classroom is taught from TK-6th grade. The students come to Music Rm. 8 2x a week for thirty minutes. The year is divided into three main sections; vocal, instrumental, movement/dance. The curriculum focuses on Orff, Kodaly, Musikgarten and traditional classical music.

The first part of the year we focus on singing and vocal technique. The last Friday before Winter Break the whole school participiates in the WInter performance. The second part of the year we focus on instruments such as Orff xylophone ensembles and recorders. The last part of the year is movement and dance. THe whole school participates in an international folk dance festival.
