General Help For Parents

Xpressions provides parents with a portal to receive messages, called Xpressions, from school. Xpressions messages are similar to WhatsApp or iMessage in that they are transmitted over the internet rather than by SMS. Parents/carers can download the app for free from their usual app store/provider (it is supported by iOS and Android devices) to their phone or tablet. 

Parents/carers on Xpressions receive all text messages via the Xpressions App.  Parents can also communicate to the academy via this App and incoming messages are viewed on a regular basis.

As you will be aware Outwood Academy Freeston is uses iPayimpact online payments. This is to eliminate the need for your child to carry cash to school.

For school meals, each pupil has an account. If your child is to purchase meals, drinks or snacks from Refresh@Freeston you will be required to top up this account with money online. 

For those pupils in receipt of Free School Meals, the daily amount will continue to be allocated automatically to your child’s account and therefore no action is required, however, if you wish to allow your child to make additional purchases at breakfast or break times, you can register and make additional payments as and when required.
