What is Coding?

Coding is a language for computers. Just like how we use language to communicate with each other, we use coding languages to communicate with computers. While coding requires logical thinking, it also requires creativity and engaging students to follow multi-stepped instructions. Children need to be creative in finding solutions to problems, and this creativity can carry over into other areas of their life.

Coding with the Bee-Bots!

Students at Columbus work on their coding skills with tangible tools like the Bee-Bots. These devices encourage students to collaborate, problem-solve, and plan their instructions before they code the device. The Bee-Bots help build a foundation that can be applied for our future coders.
