The Mission Statement of the Freeport Public Schools Library Media Centers is to ensure that all students, teachers and staff are effective, ethical users of ideas, information and technology. This is accomplished through integration of information literacy skills, through collaboration with teachers, and by providing access to information. Our goal is to provide an environment that is conducive to study, research and learning, and promote an enthusiasm for reading.

Bayview students visit the library once each week. During their time in the library, students participate in lessons focused on literature, information literacy, and technology.

Students are able to check out one book from the library each week.

Ask your child about what book they selected and encourage them to spend time reading each day.
