Welcome to the US History 3 homepage and syllabus! Our US3 class in entirely online, utilizing Schoology.com and Google Drive.
US History 3 engages the student in the study of United States history beginning with World War II through the 2000s. A host of broad themes from American history will provide the focus for the course: global relations, Constitutional heritage, democratic values, technology and society, cultural and geographic diversity, and economics. These themes will provide the context for the historical events we discuss, and in turn help us relate the past to today’s relevant social, political and economic concerns.
Our classroom rules are very simple and easy to follow. The basic rules are as follows:
Be punctual and ready for class
Do not speak while others are speaking
Raise your hand if you wish to speak
Keep your hands to yourself
Treat others as you would like to be treated.
Failure to follow these rules or show respect to others elicits the following punishments.
Verbal Reprimand
Teacher-Student Discussion and Loss of Class Participation Grade
Detention Referral and Call to Parent
Teacher-Student-Parent Meeting
