When in doubt: Please refer to the District Policy concerning absences, tardiness and loss of credit.
Our classroom rules are very simple and easy to follow. The basic rules are as follows:
• Be punctual and ready for class
• Do not speak while others are speaking
• Raise your hand if you wish to speak
• Keep your hands to yourself
• Treat others as you would like to be treated
Failure to follow these rules or show respect to others elicits the following punishments.
I. Verbal Reprimand
II. Teacher-Student Discussion and Loss of Class Participation Grade
III. Detention Referral and Call to Parent
IV. Teacher-Student-Parent Meeting
V. SEE STUDENT HANDBOOK
I adhere to the school grading policy as written in the student handbook. Your grade will be achieved through the use of chapter tests, your Google Docs and Slides, assignments (varied forms), projects (individual, paired or grouped) and class participation.
Class participation: 150 points per grading period
Class participation points will be deducted for not following Class Conduct rules.
-10 Class Participation points for each week a student appears on the D/F Report.
There are NO penalties for LATE assignments.
However, assignments will be marked "MISSING" after the due date has passed, and as a ZERO in PowerSchool after 1 week late.
ALL assignments are DUE by the end of the grading period they were assigned.
Grades are synced from Schoology to PowerSchool AT LEAST ONCE per week.
PowerSchool grades are MORE ACCURATE than Schoology grades.
MISSING or OVERDUE ASSIGNMENTS are marked as ZERO in PowerSchool.
If an assignment does not have a score in PowerSchool, it either still needs graded or the due date has not yet passed.
