Copyright and Schoology - You can consider Schoology the same way you consider your brick and mortar classroom when it comes to copyright. You can show a YouTube video to students in your classroom, so you can post a YouTube video to your Schoology course. If you buy something from Teachers Pay Teachers to use in your classroom, you can post it to your Schoology course (please note that if you wouldn't share actual copies with colleagues without buying additional licenses, you also shouldn't share them in your sandbox without buying additional licenses). Schoology is closed, meaning, only students with logins can access certain course content and that content is meant only for their use, not public use. Your FASD website; however, is PUBLIC to EVERYONE and you can receive takedown notices if you use copywritten materials without permission. The general rule with Schoology is: if you could make copies and use it in your brick and mortar classroom, you can use it in your Schoology course.
